Gorgeous and fairly clean place, more than adequate and competent staff with the attentive service from all staff. Location - great and stunning, near to the main shopping streets, the centre of Great Malvern, and the Priory restaurant....

Hotel bedrooms were too warm!

The location is comfortable, 5 km from Malvern Hills. The rooms are huge and bright with a view, so that guests have essentials.

Good location, reasonable price, good size room. A comment on a comment card about an item of furniture was dealt with immediately

The matress on the bed needs changing, it sags in the middle and is not as comfortable as it should be. The public area carpets are starting to need changing

Comfortable stay with nice staff

We stayed for 1 night in a standard double room. The room was comfy and warm. Super nice team, and the food in the restaurant was actually pretty decent. The shower curtain over the bath was a bit sketchy, though. A shower screen would be way safer.

A good value hotel that I have stayed in before. This year I had a room in the new wing, which was more modern and better decorated. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meals likewise. Special praise...  

The Abbey is located in the heart of Great Malvern - handy for eating out.

There is quite a lot of noise outside the hotel. Oftern there is noise from the local night club and drunken young people walking past the hotel at the front. Often the Abbey have functions which can be quite noisey. On my first night the music from the function room was so loud that everything in the room was shaken. When I complained I was moved instantly to another room but I could still hear the noise. The rooms can also get very warm thereby the windows must be open - which becomes a problem with the noise!

I appreciated the lovely garden area for relaxation and the spacious room, which made family bonding comfortable. Despite some dining hiccups, the staff were excellent and accommodating.
